The lumr editorial team writes the guides, tutorials and explainers published here. Between us we have spent years building and supporting document tooling, which is where most of what we write comes from: the questions people actually ask when a PDF will not do what they need.

Every guide is written against the real tools, step by step, and revised whenever the behaviour it describes changes. Where a topic touches something legal or financial we say plainly what a tool can do and where you should ask a professional instead.

We cover editing, signing, converting, compressing and organising documents, along with the privacy and security questions that come with doing any of it online.
